Prof Maxi Scherer delivered the keynote speech of the HSF-SMU Asian Arbitration Lecture 2024 in Singapore, co-organised by Herbert Smith Freehills and the Centre for Commercial Law in Asia (CCLA).
Prof Maxi Scherer's keynote on "We need to talk about ... Regulating AI in International Arbitration" struck a chord as we grapple as a profession with the regulation of artificial intelligence in the context of fast-paced technological developments. This includes the EU's new AI Act which has global implications for the way AI is used in arbitration.

The Herbert Smith Freehills-SMU Asian Arbitration Lecture Series promotes collaborative forms of dispute resolution and access to justice, and in so doing to promote Singapore as the centre for dispute resolution in Asia, particularly in arbitration and mediation.
